Redemption in Recycling

Description

In a warehouse in a disadvantaged neighborhood in Philadelphia, a team of former prison inmates are tearing down computers to be recycled… in the hope, it will keep them on the path to a better future.

PAR is a recycling center with a difference, as it only employs former prison inmates with the hope of giving them a chance to reintegrate into society.

In the US over 2 million people are in prison, and of them, approximately 60% are black or Hispanic. One of the greatest obstacles to them staying out of prison after being released is not being able to hold down a job.

George and Mimi Limbach decided they wanted to do something to help, inspired by their strong Cristian faith. They started this recycling centre four years ago and seen around 70 individuals go through the programme.
